Adam, one has to realise the old green eye monster will raise its ugly head when the Labour councillors see what is proposed. Instead of aiming high and modern, Fife seem to think achievement is akin to having any schools fit for purpose at all. My son was playing with Howe Rugby at Dunfermline High on Saturday. Changing and showers would have been condemned in North Korea! The word High in the name is a misnomer.
Being socialist (well being brought up on Red Clydeside you would not expect anything else) I am of the opinion one should strive to be the best you can. Fife has constantly fallen short of the mark on its buildings and lack of spending on pupils. Higher than average occupancy rates and below average spending per pupil is testimony to that. Allied to HMIe reports since 1999 critical of fabric does not lend me to think Fife will accept the Uni plan. It will be a case of, thae uni types with all their education and all that will not get one on us eejits at Fife House.
